Prof. Dr. Verena Wagner-Hartl

Verena Wagner-Hartl (birth name: Wagner) is a Professor of Engineering Psychology at Furtwangen University (Germany). She studied Psychology at the University of Graz (diploma/equiv. master's degree and doctoral degree) and Instrumental/Vocal Education at the J.J. Fux Konservatorium, Graz (diploma/teaching certificate) and University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (bachelor degree). Prior to her current role, Verena Wagner-Hartl worked in the Customer Research Center of the Daimler AG (Germany) and in the Global HMI Team of the Ford Werke GmbH (Germany). During her time as a Research Associate at the Department of Psychology of the University of Graz and the Institut für Begleitforschung (IfB), she worked on different projects within the research field of Work, Organizational and Environmental Psychology and Human Factors. From 2012 to 2018 she was a lecturer at the Ruhr West University, Germany (degree programs: Human–Machine Interaction; Safety Engineering), and since 2020 lecturer of Engineering Psychology at Offenburg University. Verena’s research activities include Human Factors and Human–Machine Interaction, Sound Perception and Sound Design, Digital Health Applications and Occupational Health Psychology.
